QUIETDESK · FOR MAC
Your clinic’s data stays with you.
Current candidate: 0.12.5, build 43. Preparing for Apple distribution.
Updated 12 September 2026 · current candidate and this website
Inside the app
QuietDesk keeps clinic clients, conversations, appointments and financial records in local encrypted storage on the Mac. The current candidate does not send those records, usage events or automatic bug reports to the developer. It includes no advertising or analytics SDK.
The clinic’s document uses AES-256-GCM encryption; its key is stored in the Mac’s Keychain. Authorised backups are protected with a password. Protect the Mac and keep your backup password safe: the developer does not hold a recovery copy of your clinic’s data.
You choose what leaves the Mac
Messages are reviewed by a person before copying or opening another messaging app. Contacts, Calendar, maps and messaging services follow their own permissions and privacy policies. Files you deliberately place in a cloud folder may be synchronised by that provider.
Translation and dictation use local providers when available. macOS may need to download language models. The standard candidate’s experimental remote access and mobile synchronisation are disabled.
This website and support
This website does not request clinic data or run marketing analytics. Hosting and network providers process technical requests needed to serve pages, which can include IP addresses and access metadata. This is different from collecting clinic records through the app.
If you contact support by email or use Apple’s TestFlight feedback, the selected service can process sender details and message metadata. Removing client details from a report does not make the email account or IP anonymous. Only send the limited technical diagnostic and fictional reproduction steps.
Your control
Uninstalling the app does not automatically delete local documents, exported backups or entries you shared with other apps. Review those locations before deleting keys or backups needed for recovery. Purchases and subscription privacy will be reviewed for the final Apple distribution.
